Wednesday, May 6, 2009:
HACK's Annual Welcome to Houston Party; 6-10pm
This event kicks off our Weekend of activities.  It's a chance for art car artists to meet and catch up in private, out of the public eye, no media is invited. 
Dinner and beverages will be served up buffet style.

Thursday, May 7, 2009:
The Tom Kennedy Memorial Art Car Ball; 7-11p
This event is open to the public, tickets are on sale. 
www.ArtCarBall.com for all the details, whether you are an art car participant, a performer or spectator, all your questions will be answered. 
(NO BYOB, rain or shine, enter at your own risk, no one under 21 admitted)

Friday, May 8, 9a-1p
The Orange Show's Main Street Drag
This event takes caravans of art cars to hospitals and schools for people to see the parade that wouldn't normally see the parade.
Starting and ending at the Houston Zoo.  This event is strickly for art car artists and if you are participating you know because you checked off the box on your Parade Entry Form.  (Art car artists in this year's Parade, a flier will be in your parade packet)


Friday, May 8, 6-10p
The Orange Show's "Sneak Peek" at Discovery Green
sponsored by Opportunity Houston

Get your first look at the new art cars for 2009, plus see some old favorites. There'll be live music, firing art cars, Harrod Blank's newest Art Car Film, Automorphosis, a Tom Kennedy Memorial movie  made by Erik Kolflat, and a Viking Ship burn in the Pond as a remembrance to those we've lost.  Please see this event on our Calendar for more details.

The 22nd Annual Orange Show Houston Art Car Parade
Come watch over 250 artistically wheeled wonders turn concrete into a colorful canvas that celebrates the artist in everyone…including you!
Allen Parkway - between Taft and Downtown


Saturday, May 9, 3-8p
Post Parade Party hosted HACK
Roll your art car on over to the Meridian after the parade.  Inside you'll find air conditioning, music, beverages for purchase.  Outside you can hang around with each other by your art car.  A food alternative to a "roach coach" would be Kim Son around the corner.

Saturday, May 9, dusk
HACK's Annual Illuminated Cruise
Gather at dusk, we roll at dark.  Art cars illuminated on a private caravan thru and around down and mid-town Houston streets, bringing evening excitement to the City. 
STARTING AT THE MERIDIAN, following the Post Parade Tailgater Party. 
1503 Chartres, 77003

We will not be cruising Heights Blvd this year.
You may leave support vehicles in the REAR of the Meridian parking lot when the Cruise rolls at dark.

Sunday, May 10, 11a-2p
The Orange Show Art Car Brunch and Awards Ceremony
Art Car artists, family and friends gather to celebrate a job well done at this last blast of the weekend. Food, drinks and live music guarantee a good time.  Art Car Parade awards will be presented, as well as our own Houston Art Car Klub Brother Brian Bryan Memorial Art Car Award (we have a winner!)
